Mutual Proposals

Proposals are something that I’ve always found incredibly romantic and adorable. I’ve also always had questions. Is this really the only way to decide to get engaged? Do some people really never talk about it and he just pops the question? If so, why wouldn’t you want to talk to your partner first? What do you do if you’re not heteronormie and there isn’t one obvious choice for one person to get down on one knee?

Getting married is definitely something that should be talked about and seriously considered by both parties involved. Maybe you have that conversation and then one partner knows they want to propose to the other. Perhaps you’ve always dreamed of having your love surprise you on one knee and they want to pop the question too. That’s AWESOME! I love it! What about for folks who this doesn’t quite fit? I introduce to you… mutual proposals! I really wish I could take credit for this idea but I can’t. I’m not sure where it originated (for me it was reading blogs on offbeatbride.com) because there still isn’t a ton of information on the topic. That being said, I love, love, love the idea and want to share it with couples and help them plan their big day.

Imagine taking a day off with your love and going to all of your favorite spots - the restaurant you had your first date, the park where you shared your first kiss, seeing live music at a spot you both enjoy relaxing with a drink or cup of tea, and then you also exchange rings and are engaged! Maybe its a photo-shoot and you meet a photographer at a hella picturesque location and you get your engagement and engagement photos done in one moment. Talk about efficient! I can think of about a million ideas and I can’t wait to share them with y’all!

If this sounds like something you’re interested in, let’s chat! We’ll all meet so I can hear your ideas and share some of mine and then depending on the nature of the proposal, I’ll chat with you both separately and develop a timeline and plan. I’ll connect you to any vendors you may need and help with any logistics arrangements. Check out my website for details on pricing and to reach out to get a tea date on the calendar to chat! Can’t wait to hear your love story!
